Bad Karma for them. That’s why Monk’s seeks the higher ground in its production quality and will only sell Fair Trade Coffee. Good Karma for us, and for the farmers.

Many people think about Fair Trade and have the misconception that farmers are getting a fair price for the hard work they do to create a superior product. In a way, these people are right. However, Fair Trade also has social implications. Those who invest in Fair Trade Farms can support the farmers by helping them gain the business skills necessary for their smaller farms to thrive. This is a completely groovy sustainable practice.

What better way to preserve farming throughout the generations, than by helping farmers to sustain the profession as a profitable undertaking? This – in turn - lifts the smaller farmers out of poverty and into successful businesses. Good Karma all around.
